Cleaned Silver ring, left in cleaner too long, how do i fix it?
My sister has a beautiful tiffany and co silver ring she got from her longtime boyfriend. She accidentally left it in the cleaner for a day and a half… now its all white. What can she do?? ive looked onthe tiffany website — with no help, and a few others.. Maybe some of you have had the same experience and you could let me know what you did? It turned a whitesh color — almost looked like the finish came off — but tiffany uses pure silver, not silver plate… please help. thanks!
let it dry, and maybe even tarnish a little. go to any jewlery store ( or order on line from engraving by carol) a silver polishing cloth.
they are fairly cheep. most silver has a clear coating over it to slow the tarnishing process…the clear coat is gone…also call a jewler, and ask if they can re-coat it….
