Is lip-plumping lip gloss bad for your lips?

i saw this lip gloss at Victoria’s Secret that pumps up your lips when you use it. My friend has it and it makes her lips look full. But i was thinking, is it bad for your lips to physically change its features?

The active ingredient is cinnamon. I have a natural beauty book and it says you can actually moisten some cinnamon and apply it to your lips to get the almost the same result. Still, it is not bad for your lips.
